About Zero Line

If things go to plan, this will be a newsletter about war, international relations, and the political ideas that both animate and reflect them. You can read about some of my motivations for starting this project here.

As I get started, I’ll be experimenting with format and content. Please get in touch if you have feedback, or - especially - if there’s a question, topic or debate you’d like me to address. You can also find me on Twitter/X and BlueSky.

For now all posts will be available to non-subscribers, but if you’d like to help turn this newsletter into something bigger and better, all paid subscriptions are appreciated.

I’ve lived in Palestine, Egypt and Lebanon, reported from the wars in Libya and Syria, and monitored the war in Yemen on behalf of international humanitarian organisations.
